The life of an icy, sophisticated ballet dancer, Ivan Hogan (Henk Van Dijk), is disrupted by an affair with a charming but chaotic truck driver, Joe (Garry Hunt), in this ambitious film shot in Manhattan.
Ivan, an accomplished and well-known dancer, performs for a ballet class and showers with one of the students (Jeff Sullivan) before coupling with him in the bedroom. Heavy petting is followed by mutual oral sex and Ivan getting his muscled ass fucked both doggie- and missionary-style.
Later, Ivan shows off his incredible physique as he performs stretches and dancer's moves nude outside a house in the country where he's staying. Trucker Joe, having just delivered an expensive Dutch music box to Ivan, sees him and jacks off in the house while watching. Horny Joe sniffs Ivan's underwear while beating off and cums on them.
After Ivan's car breaks down, he stops by a nearby diner for a bite to eat. There, he runs into Joe again, who ribs him about his expensive European car and his profession, which annoys Ivan, who nonetheless accepts a ride in his truck. What Ivan gets instead is a taste of Joe's pole in the cab of his truck, after Joe "accidentally" spills beer on his crotch. Good close-ups capture this intense head job.
Joe drinks another beer and tells Ivan about how he used to pick up girls with his brother, but he likes fucking ass, and admits that he watched Ivan practicing earlier and jacked off. He wants to fuck again in the back of the truck, but Ivan won't have that, so they get a hotel room and fuck enthusiastically (Joe even spitting on Ivan's face), set to a country music soundtrack.
Ivan invited Joe to see him perform at the ballet and Joe shows up to the sold out performance in a rumpled suit. He sneaks in and watches, wide-eyed, as Ivan expertly performs with the other dancers wearing next-to-nothing. Intimidated, Joe leaves the theater rather than meeting Ivan back stage, as planned, and goes to get drunk in his regular blue collar bar, where the guys give him a hard time time about his suit. Joe lies and tells them he took his girl to the ballet.
Joe can't get enough of Ivan and tries to call him several times, but Ivan says he's mad at him and doesn't want to see him. Instead, he invites the ballet student over to his expensive penthouse (full of dance photos including many of Ivan, himself), but before he arrives, Joe shows up drunk and performs a sloppy, comical striptease for a very uninterested Ivan. The ballet student later joins them and the three engage in a well-photographed threeway -- which includes rimming, a mutual blow job, fingers in the mouth, more spit, and cum-eating. After sex, the ballet student becomes increasingly irritated about the intruder and leaves in a huff.
Joe and Ivan wake up in the morning and Joe is slow to get out of bed, so Ivan takes a shower. Both guys jerk off; Ivan athletically in the shower and Joe over a portrait of Ivan, which he ejaculates onto. Ivan finally succeeds at getting Joe to leave his apartment.
That night, once again, Joe goes to the bar to get wasted and call Ivan and the guys give him shit, wondering what kind of girl is named "Ivan." They get more aggressive and tell him that they're going to go with him to his supposed girlfriend's place to meet her. Once there, a five-way orgy with the truckers ensues before Ivan's bored eyes, where they play roughly with a docile Joe. Ivan eventually decides to join them and everyone goes at it until they pass out on the floor.
After Ivan throws the guys out (Joe, feelings hurt, going last), he meets up with the ballet student. They have a final, romantic sex scene together and dance against the backdrop of the New York City skyline at sunset.
This sexual comedy of manners of sorts touches on class, closetedness, and unrequited longing and is strong on realism, which makes the sex so much more interesting; it's like you're watching real people have sex, not automatons. The attention to detail, like Van Dijk wearing headphones while blankly watching the orgy unfold is an example of the little things that help make this film extraordinary. A fascinating film.

The sex serves to illustrate the larger themes, one of which is the attraction of opposites: Uncouth Garry is utterly enchanted by the elite ballet dancer and comes to worship both his body and his talent, hence the striptease, where Garry attempts to perform in turn for Henk.
The dancer meanwhile discovers that nothing feels quite so satisfying as having a working class stiff up his bum, and he starts to develop a taste for rougher action and compare the clean, tender sex Henk has with fellow dancer Jeff vs. his raunchy performance in the trucker orgy.
One other outstanding aspect of this vintage gay porn film is the extended and well-cut dance sequences.
The script is by P.P. Mans (Glen and Randa), features excellent original piano pieces on the soundtrack which add to the atmosphere, and also stars two gentlemen usually found behind the scenes at Hand in Hand in small roles: Jimmy Dellegatti and Robert Alvarez.
